In order to provide you with the highest quality care, I am not in-network with any insurance companies. Choosing a private pay option has certain benefits for you:

  • Insurance companies require that you meet “medical necessity” as well as specific criteria for a diagnosis of a mental disorder, which is often not needed or relevant to our work.

  • You won’t have a diagnosis label permanently attached to your medical record.

  • Your records are protected, which means that very personal information about you cannot be obtained by your insurance company.

  • Rather than your care being dictated by your insurance company, you and I can work collaboratively on a treatment plan that is tailored to your specific needs.

I will provide you with a “Superbill” (invoice reflecting the date of services, services rendered, and diagnosis) for you to request insurance reimbursement. You are responsible for determining your out-of-network insurance benefits and out-of-pocket costs.

  1. Request a Superbill: After your session, I will provide a superbill that includes all the necessary visit details.

  2. Contact Your Insurance Company: Call the customer service number on your insurance card and ask about their out-of-network reimbursement process. Inquire specifically about the documentation needed to submit a superbill for reimbursement.

  3. Submit the Superbill: Follow your insurance company’s instructions to submit the superbill. This may involve filling out a claim form and mailing or uploading the superbill to their website.

  4. Track Your Claim: Monitor the status of your claim and follow up with your insurance company if needed to ensure it is processed.I will gladly provide you with a “superbill” (invoice reflecting the date of services, services rendered, and diagnosis) for you to request insurance reimbursement.
